What is it?

This is a full featured, but very easy to use that allows complex and additive Word Search puzzles for you to create and play yourself and give to your friends and family.

The Word Search Designer are two sophisticated and easy to use applications; an "editor" to create your puzzles and a "player" to quickly start and play the puzzles. They have numerous features that make creating and playing your puzzles very easy and fun to do.

There is a tutorial that explains these features using an example puzzle for you to follow step by step or use a interactive help that comes ready installed with the Word Search Designer.

The Word Search Designer is just one of four word-based game designers. They make up the Word Puzzle Compendium. Each are well known word puzzle games for all the family and even schools can use. There're educational and fun to use.

Still not convinced?...

• Each puzzle can be any size from 5 x 5 to 30 x 30.
• Fit as many word as possible - the number of words are only limited to the size of the grid.
• Print the puzzles to play away from the computer. Keep you and your childeren busy while travelling or in the home on a rainy day.
• Allow the computer to find space for words in your puzzle - particularly useful if the puzzle is getting crowded!
• Various levels of difficulty, such as using 'dummy' words to fool people and make the puzzle more difficult.
• Watch the words being entered into the puzzle as you type - even highlights any letters that overlap.
• Apply colourful schemes to the puzzle.
• Use the timer to find how long is takes to complete a puzzle or even try to complete the puzzle under a set time. Can you complete it under ten minutes?

Don't want to 'make' puzzle games, just 'play' them?

The editor creates the puzzles, but if you only like to play the puzzles then the player application will let you do just that. The trial version has a set of sample puzzles to get you started. By registering, you get 17 packs of puzzles. These puzzle packs contain 6 puzzles in each of them but more puzzles will be released as they are created.
